However, we can see that more and more unique online business models emerge and some of them are proved very successful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2007, I created a property search engine for a private equity and successfully drive its traffic to rank number 1 within a few months. Before I led the development of this website, I did research on all leading property portals around the globe, and I am happy to see that it  helps many local people and overseas investors to find the right flat that they want to buy or rent. Move faster than competitors, unique market positioning, ever fine-&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;tuning the features, and effective marketing&lt;/span&gt; are the keys to produce a popular portal, I suppose.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nowadays, Internet is becoming a very crucial media where people interact and find what they want globally. When I look back now, there are many online media still look the same as 5 to 10 years ago. What  I mean is that many of them are not upgrading their features, and I assume that not too long they will be threatened by direct and indirect competitors.  Example includes   job sites owned by leading publishing groups. If one only sees Internet as a supplementary to extend the reach of their print media, I wish them good luck. I strongly believe that in this era, online media and online business need to ever change or even create new business models that  can only apply online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Internet is such a powerful medium that enable much more in-depth communication than just any traditional media. Recently I have been sticking to social networking websites to quickly build more contacts and make friends with other business and marketing experts, and this is an example that no other medium can replace or compete with the Internet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;With an interest to evaluate the B2C market, I have been talking to &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;eBayers&lt;/span&gt; and also using a few similar sites such as &lt;a href="http://www.wigix.com"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;wigix&lt;/span&gt;.com&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://www.ioffer.com"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;ioffer&lt;/span&gt;.com&lt;/a&gt; to look for gifts. I found that each site has its own unique features and is attractive to sellers and buyers in a different sense. While my friend, a seller, complains to me that eBay has a very harsh listing policy, the other 2 sites seems to be emerging, although cannot compete in traffic with eBay yet. The system of &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;wigix&lt;/span&gt;.com is so cool, it works like the trading system of stock market, maybe that is why I like it. I am interested to see what will happen a few years later, will eBay crash? Or will &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;wigix&lt;/span&gt;.com become a big player?
